Ugo Gay

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND GENERAL MANAGER, DIASORIN ITALIA S.p.A.

Ugo Gay is Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Diasorin Italia S.p.A.

Born in 1965, he began his career in 1985 in his family’s business.
In 1995, he moved to the Biological Chemotherapy Institute of Turin, where he was appointed as CEO of a Group company in 1998.

He joined Diasorin in 2000 as Sales Director for the Italian market, holding various roles within the Group: Managing Director of the JV between DiaSorin and Byk Sangtec (2002), Country Manager – Italy and General Manager – Iberia and Czech Republic (2003-2009) and VP, Commercial Operations for Europe and Africa (2009-2012).
In the same period, he became a member of the Board of Directors of Assobiomedica and of the European Association of Diagnostics (EDMA), assuming the role of Vice President.

Since 2012, he has continued his career in Industrial Operations at Diasorin (Europe and Africa).
In 2019, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Industrial Operations, at corporate level.
Starting from July 2022, following the transfer of a business unit, he will become Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of the new subsidiary, Diasorin Italia S.p.A.
Over the same period, he held the positions of Vice President of Confindustria Novara Vercelli Valsesia (CNVV) and Member of the General Council of Federchimica, between 2022 and 2024.
