our "articles of agreement"
Pirates are commonly seen as drunken, peg-legged bandits who made captives walk the plank and eat their own ears. Certainly, pirates where a very rough bread, but at a time of tyranny and oppression in most countries, pirates where also known as one of the most democratic and caring communities of its time.
Unlike commercial ships, most pirate ships had "Articles of Agreement", a set of commonly agreed rules, that guided their adventures: such as taking decisions collectively, dividing up their booty fairly, offering compensation for the families of hurt comrades and giving black slaves a rare chance to live free.
In present times, our long-fought human rights are under severe attack. It's time to revive the true pirate spirit, break free from societal madness and reconquer the world with it´s most powerful weapon: LOVE.
We crafted or pirate manifest as a personal guideline for our seafaring community to strive at sea and together discover new horizons.
The ocean is the only place on earth, where humans cannot build walls. Spending time on the ocean broadens our perspective and attunes us to the rhythms of mother nature. It also challenges our biggest fears and requires courage, compassion, cooperation and humbleness. For us, the ocean is our greatest teacher.
- Pirates of Love
We don´t adhere to social norms, religious dogmas and societal obligations.
Radical Self Expression
All crew members are kindly encouraged to express their wildest, most authentic selfs.
Control and security are illusions. Instead we trust in the magical powers of the universe.
We strive for long-term economic success that benefits everybody involved, mother nature and society at large.
Utopia is not a faraway land. Utopia, is a multidimensional super-reality, that we choose to create every day.
Whatever we create, gift, consume or do, shall have a positive impact on the places and ecosystems we visit.
We create space to share our deepest feelings and care for each other with love and respect. Redefining sexuality and relationship are an integral part of our community.
We try not to enter supermarkets. Instead, we fish, climb coconut trees, collect rain water and host pickling parties.
Radical Self Reliance
At sea, we cannot call a mechanic, doctor or iFoods. Being truly autonomous requires full responsibility for ours and the boats necessities
Everyone on board gets their hands dirty and actively participates in daily routines such as scraping the hull, cleaning the toilet or reefing the sails during a storm.
We are family. Once a pirate, always a pirate.
Our community is a living organism, whose decision are based on consent, transparency and interdependence.
